4 Days Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech

(7 Hours Drive)

Your desert adventure begins with a private pick-up at 07h30 from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We’ll ascend through the Atlas Mountains, crossing the iconic Tizi n’Tichka Pass – offering panoramic views and ample opportunities for photography. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, we’ll visit Taourirte Kasbah. Enjoy lunch at leisure before continuing to Zagora via the stunning Draa Valley. This fertile oasis stretches 200km along the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, historically a vital lifeline for nomadic Saharan tribes. Along the way, you’ll see numerous palm groves nestled between kasbahs and ksours, dotted with fields of corn, barley, vegetables, and henna plantations. Dinner and overnight stay in Zagora.

Today’s journey takes you across the volcanic peaks of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, revealing dramatic lunar landscapes and hidden oases. We’ll stop for lunch at the oasis of Alnif before continuing to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, embark on a camel trek into the mesmerizing dunes to witness an unforgettable sunset over the shifting sands – a truly magical experience! Return to your Sahara desert camp where you’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under the stars accompanied by traditional Berber music. Don’t miss the chance to marvel at the clear night sky and its brilliant constellations before retiring for the evening.

After breakfast at your desert camp, we’ll drive along the legendary “Road of 1001 Kasbahs,” passing rivers, oases, and fortified kasbahs to reach Tinghir. Here you can enjoy a refreshing walk in the oasis alongside the Todgha River before exploring the towering Todgha Gorge – perfect for photos! In the early afternoon, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, admiring magnificent kasbahs and Berber villages against the backdrop of a stunning sunset over the Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in the Dades Valley.

(6 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, we’ll journey alongside the fragrant Valley of the Roses to Kalaa Mgouna, where you can visit a local cooperative and learn about the production of rose water perfume essences. We continue to Skoura oasis, one of the largest in the South, with an optional visit to one of its beautiful kasbahs (time permitting). Then, we’ll head to Ouarzazate and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – a stunning fortified village that has served as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood films. Enjoy lunch at leisure in the Kasbah before driving back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains.
